NamesCon Domain Name Conference: January 2021

hero

The NamesCon virtual domain name conference takes place from Wednesday, January 27 to Friday, January 29, 2021 via NamesCon.online.

This will be the second virtual domain conference for NamesCon (which is owned by GoDaddy) taking place only online. I was able to attend the first virtual NamesCon conference in September 2020 and it happened to be my first ever NamesCon event, which I really enjoyed.

The domain name conference allows attendees to engage others in networking lounges, talk to exhibitors and the ability to talk one-on-one with attendees via video or audio.

Although I have been in the domain industry a fairly long time, I wasn’t sure I would learn that much, but attending the NamesCon conference in September was well worth it to me and I learned something from almost every session I attended.

There are many valuable keynote sessions from a variety of individuals that have different specialties relating to domain names. Each session that I watched, I learned at least something from each of them. It was worth my time investment and the networking topped off the event, making it worth my $59 investment to attend.

The audio and video of the event worked flawlessly for me, and each session I watched was on time and interactive with a live chat for attendees to use while watching to keynote sessions. After each session, the speakers would often attend the networking lounge and take any questions directly.

The Standard pricing is once again $59 to attend the event, with early bird pricing ending November 30, 2020. Pricing then moves to $79. If this will be your first time attending, you can attend FREE by taking a survey. There are a limited number of free passes and you can view the different packages right on NamesCon.online

Domain Auction

Submissions are open for the NamesCon online auction that is hosted by GoDaddy. The auction takes place on GoDaddy Auctions. Bidding begins in December, running until January 28th.

  • The focus on domain name submission for this auction should be .com domains.
  • Utilizing this free domain appraisal tool, valuations should be at or above $5,000
  • Consider low or no reserve auctions.

You can submit your domain names for consideration here.

I will be attending once again because I think it is worth the time and fee to be a part of it. I am not required to attend, if you were wondering. I will be happy to and look forward to chatting with those who read the Uniregistry blog or if your just excited to talk about domain names like I am. Feel free to look for me (Jamie Zoch) at NamesCon.online in January 2021 and other Uniregistry and GoDaddy team members.
